Terms and Conditions for the Lettings Advice Service (LAS) – Effective 1st September 2025
This page sets out the terms and conditions of subscribing to LAS ("We" or "Us"). LAS is a trading name of Gothard Rowe Property Services Ltd
Scope of LAS
1. LAS service provides advice for properties based in England and Wales, advice for properties based in Scotland cannot be provided by LAS at this time.
2. LAS service is available to individuals and businesses that have purchased its advice service, either by: monthly subscription, annual subscription or its adhoc advice service.
3. The LAS service does not include:
- providing written advice;
- drafting, reviewing or amending documents or clauses;
- reviewing or preparing letters;
- providing assistance in Court matters
4. LAS It is not intended to be a replacement for formal legal, financial, or specialist advice.
5. The service is provided in LiveChat format with a human advisers.
6. Outside of business hours, the resource hub will be available 24/7
7. LAS is not available for advice on subjects outside of our expertise. We will advise you if this is the case.
8. We work with other specialist partners and may refer you to their services if required. These services would be chargeable directly with the specialist and doesn't form part of the Lettings Advice Service.
Availability of the LAS Helpline
1. Livechat service is available Monday to Friday 10am -4pm and Saturday 10am-1pm.
2. Advice requested outside of these working hours will be responded to the next working day. Members can submit a 'Ticket' to LAS which will be responded to by an adviser the next working day.
3. We'll answer as soon as we can - at busy times you might need to wait for an adviser to acknowledge your chat. It may be that the adviser informs you that there will be a waiting time before they can advise you fully or they may ask you to come back later when it is quieter. You can also submit a ticket, which will be replied to as soon as an adviser is free
4. All guidance given by us is given in good faith and is based upon the information supplied by the user. We cannot be held liable for any loss suffered by users or their clients if inaccurate or incomplete information is given.
5. We will try whenever possible to clarify information provided by the user to ensure that the appropriate guidance is given. Any failure by us to ask questions that may have altered our guidance will not incur any liability on our part.
6. All guidance given by us is specific to the question being asked of us. We accept no liability where that guidance is used in other situations.
7. We will not enter into discussions with clients of users in relation to guidance given. We will not accept any liability for losses incurred by clients of users based on their advice.
8. LAS is not designed to provide basic training and should be treated as a support service. If you require additional training then please ask an adviser for further details and prices.
Adhoc / one off advice provided by LAS
1. Users of the service do not have to sign up to a subscription to access advice
2. Adhoc or one off advice can be provided on a pre-paid basis
3. One off or Adhoc advice is available in pre-designated timing of 30 mins, additional advice can be purchased separately.
4. Please note the adviser will be strict when advising during these one-off sessions and will advise you if more time is needed, giving you the opportunity to purchase more time in 30 min increments
Withdrawal of LAS
1. Access to LAS will be withdrawn immediately if:
- a subscription charge is not paid when due;
- any person you authorise to use your account is rude or abusive to our staff; or
- you allow people who are not employees of your company to use your account.
2. If we withdraw access to LAS for the reasons set out above we will not refund any part of your subscription.
3. If a monthly subscription charge is unpaid, access will be withdrawn. The account will only be reinstated once any outstanding balance has been paid
Ending your subscription to LAS
1. We will continue to collect monthly subscription payments until your payment instruction is cancelled by you. We will advise you of any changes to terms and conditions and/or pricing when they are introduced.
2. You may cancel your subscription to LAS at any time by accessing your subscription page or by emailing cancelations@lettingsadviceservice.co.uk.
3. Please note that notice to end your subscription must be given in writing. Access to LAS will be withdrawn and we will not refund any part of your subscription.
Information about you
1. We process information about you in accordance with our privacy policy. By using our website, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.
2. When you subscribe to LAS, you provide us with your personal details, including your address and email. By giving us this information and after giving explicit consent, you are agreeing that we contact you from time to time by telephone, email, SMS, text message or post with information related to services, products and events.
3. You may, at any time, contact us to update and amend your preferred method(s) of communication, opt out of receiving communications from us, change your contact details or set your email preferences.
Jurisdiction and applicable law
1. These terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales
Changes to these terms and conditions
1. We may revise these terms and conditions at any time by amending this page. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they are binding on you.
